Folks, this is a fun one. Makeworth and HCA, in some senses, go back 20 years (to a church playground). Sean Warner from HCA is from the same hometown as our head roaster Tim! After reconnecting and finding out both are working with specialty coffee, a partnership eagerly formed. HCA is a treasured importing partner that seeks to be solution-orientated for ensuring Honduran coffee farmers and represented and compensated fairly. We love working HCA and are grateful not only for a rekindled friendship, but for a connection to build positive change for Honduran coffee.
 
The Producer: Jorge Nicolas
Jorge Nicolas might be one of the kindest, most resilient and driven producers we know. Having coffee in his blood as a 4th generation farmer, Jorge carries great legacy and passion for his work and farm. His farm land has seen many uses from cattle grazing to potato farming, but ultimately, coffee has captured his heart. Despite many challenges to carry the torch forward, Jorge continues to produce very unique and captivating coffees. We are honored to work with Jorge and hopeful to build a long relationship with him!
